Johnson Righeira is an Italian and international singer.

He began his career in 1981 with the single 'Bianca Surf,' released as a solo artist under the pseudonym Johnson Righeira.


In 1983, he released his first album, Righeira, featuring the hit 'Vamos a la Playa,' which became a massive summer anthem; he followed it with the single 'No Tengo Dinero'.


In 1985, the album Bambini Forever was released, featuring another major summer hit: 'L’estate sta finendo'.


The following year, he participated in the Sanremo Festival with the song 'Innamoratissimo,' and in 1988, he released his final single before putting his career with Righeira on hold: 'Compañero'.


In 1992, the album Uno, Zero, Centomila was released to little fanfare, but his career with Righeira resumed in 1998, followed by a new version of 'Vamos a la Playa' in 2001.


In 2007, his latest album Mondovisione was released, preceded by the highly successful single 'La Musica Electronica'.


In August 2008, he hosted the radio program L’estate sta finendo on R101, named after his 1985 hit. In 2012 and 2013, he collaborated live with singer Riz Samaritano, and in 2014, he appeared as an actor in the film Sexy Shop directed by Maria Erica Pacileo and Fernando Maraghini.


Since 2015, he has returned to the spotlight after his single 'L’estate sta finendo' was adopted by Serie A football fans, while 'Vamos a la Playa' was featured in a national McDonald's commercial in the US. In 2016, he debuted the single 'Sembra Impossibile' alongside Nevruz.
