andrea "Cucchia" Innesto
Andrea Innesto, born in Bologna in September 1964, is an Italian saxophonist, composer, arranger, and producer. He began his musical studies at the age of eleven under the guidance of Maestro Marino Serrazanetti (Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome), first approaching the flute and later the alto and soprano saxophone.
In 1985, he joined the band of Vasco Rossi, with whom he collaborated steadily until 2017, participating in tours, studio recordings, live albums, and numerous television appearances. In 1989, he also became the musical director for the 'Fronte del Palco ’90' tour.
Simultaneously, he was a member of the Steve Rogers Band, recording albums for CBS, and collaborated with numerous Italian artists. Since 1997, he began a significant collaboration with Patty Pravo, taking part in record productions, theatrical tours, and the Sanremo Festival, as well as participating in the Pavarotti International in 2001.
A versatile musician, Andrea Innesto has composed soundtracks for international fashion events and RAI documentaries, also collaborating with director Emerson Gattafoni. In 2001, he appeared as an actor in the television road movie 'Eldorado'.
With a career spanning over thirty years, Andrea Innesto is recognized as one of the most representative figures of the saxophone in the Italian rock and pop scene.
